6/17/06 Bass Champs Lake Buchanan, TX

With a newly developed confidence in Big Bite Baits, Keith Combs teamed up with Landan Ware to compete in the final Central Texas event on Lake Buchanan. the team decided to go shallow and flip the Yo MaMa. The action was fast and furious from the beginning. Their starting location produced a limit of three pound fish from shallow cover on the Yo MaMa in green pumpkin and watermelon red flake. They were able to cull a few fish as the day wore on. The team had their eye on a particularly inviting log that was getting worked over by the competition. They remained in the area waiting for a turn to fish the log. When their chance finally came they made the best of it. Combs first flip to the log produced a nine pounder. Subsequent flips to the log produced two four pounders. These culls tailed an incredible 25.94 lbs and a 5 lb winning margin. Keith and Landan had the right locations and the right bait to add another boat to the resume.
